Chris Dickons

Chris Dickons is originally from Middlesbrough in the UK. He is part of the Team for City to City Australia. Chris is passionate about the Church and its role as a transformational force in the local community. He loves to see Christians discipled and equipped in their gifts and calling to make an impact where they live, work and socialise. Chris has 20 years’ experience working in various roles across ministry, education and the not-for-profit space in Australia and overseas. Chris has had the privilege of serving with Alpha in the UK and Australia and Korus Connect, where he worked across school chaplaincy, SRI, training and launched a new missional initiative in collaboration with local churches. Chris is an advocate for Christian Education and has recently served on a local school board to help to develop their missional focus. Listen in to his story!

Andrew Cannon is an Evangelist born and raised in Liverpool, UK. The hand of God radically touched him in 2010 when he called on the name of Jesus. His life was full of destruction and addictions, alcohol, drugs and self-harming. It was on Andrews very first encounter with the love and power of Jesus that he was transformed. He was completely and instantly set free, his life of destruction and the chains of the enemy were broken off. He now lives a life sold out for Jesus, Andrew has lead 1000’s to the Lord through the love, truth and compassion of Christ and encourages believers to do the same in their everyday life. The name Gospel Grenades was born from a dream Andrew had, he was walking through a war-torn city, gangs of people where on street corners plotting destruction. Andrew looked down and the Lord had placed grenades into both his hands, it seemed strange to him but he felt Jesus tell him to throw them into the crowds. Once thrown the grenades exploded in the centre of the crowds with adverse effects, instead of bringing destruction, the explosions brought REVIVAL, PEACE, JOY, LOVE, UNITY, GROWTH, KINDNESS, FAITH, RECONCILIATION. Whilst travelling through an airport a couple of weeks later Andrew was surprisingly stopped by airport security, they swabbed his hands and found explosives, having not been in contact with any kind of explosive material, Andrew felt this was confirmation in naming their ministry, Glory to God!

James Condon has been an Officer of The Salvation Army for more than 45 years, retiring from active service in 2016. He has served in a variety of leadership roles in 3 countries: Australia, PNG and the UK. At the International Headquarters of The Salvation Army based in London, he held the position of International Secretary for the South Pacific and East Asia Zone. In 2011, James was appointed Commissioner for the Australia Eastern Territory which covers the States of NSW and QLD as well as the ACT. This involved some 400 centres of The Salvation Army, with 1,000 Officers of The Salvation Army and 4,000 employees.
