Patricia Weerakoon

Dr Patricia Weerakoon is an Australian Christian sexologist who was born in a Tamil Christian family in Sri Lanka, and grew up on a tea plantation. She is married to Vasantha and they have a son, Kamal, who is a Presbyterian minister.

Patricia is a Sexologist, sex educator and writer and was trained in medicine at the University of Sri Lanka and did her postgraduate study in sexology at the University of Hawaii. She retired in 2011 after a 22-year career as an academic at the University of Sydney and for the last 8 years of her time as an academic, she was the director of an internationally recognised postgraduate program in sexual health.

Over the years in retirement Patricia followed her passion to educate people of all ages on good holistic sexual health by speaking and writing in the area from a Christ focused Biblical framework.
