Scientists have discovered that we’ve been hardwired to give. At the University of Oregon researchers have found that giving to charity is neurologically similar to taking an addictive drug or learning that you have received a winning lottery ticket. It seems clear then that people give to charity not only because they think it is a good thing to do, but also because it make them feel good. It also obviously helps the person they’re giving to. The Bible says that God loves a cheerful giver. Maybe it’s time for you to adopt a charity; to find a cause and to be generous. Maybe the benefits will be out of this world.
