Definition of Marriage [Godspot]

For thousands of years the definition of marriage has been between one man and one woman. And some are trying to change that definition in the name of equality. They’re saying it’s discriminating against what they believe. But for those that hold to the teachings of Christ and have been doing so for years, isn’t it discriminating against us by changing the definition? Jesus clearly said in Matthew 19:4, “At the beginning, the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?” He doesn’t leave room for anyone else in that definition of marriage. It’s one man and one wife. All around the world there is an attack on the covenant of marriage, and according to the Bible it was God’s idea in the first place. Once you change the definition of marriage, it’s a slippery slope to what else it could become. In some countries people have married a tree because they were in love with it. Some people have married their dog, others have married a bridge that they like to walk over. Now clearly, that’s not what God had in mind when he created marriage. The truth is when there are strong families and strong marriages, it’s a strong foundation for any nation. Lets pray for marriages. And even though there’s so much attacked against the institution of marriage, let’s make sure we do it God’s way, not the world’s way.
